AIISH Admission 2020

The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing was established in the year 1966 as an autonomous institute fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The major objectives of the institute are to impart professional training, render clinical services, conduct research and educate the public on issues related to communication disorders such as hearing impairment, mental retardation, voice, fluency and phonological and language disorders.

1.Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (B.ASLP)

2 Diploma in Hearing Aid & Ear Mould Technology

3.Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education (Hearing Impairment)

4.Diploma in Hearing, Language & Speech-through Video Conference mode

Admission Eligibility

Passed Pre-University examination of the State of Karnataka or any other examination (10+2) considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks. 2. Studied at least three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

How to Apply

Apply online through the website http://www.aiishmysore.in. The online application can be accessed from 07.03.2020 to 29.04.2020. Entrance examination will be on 16.05.2020.

Mode of Selection

Through all India Entrance examination for all candidates except for those applying under
foreign quota(Foreign quota – Must have passed qualifying examination in a foreign
country). Candidates should appear for entrance examination in Physics and Chemistry as
compulsory subjects and either one of Biology or Mathematics as optional

2.Mode of selection for  the Diploma courses on the basis of  Merit in qualifying exam

Entrance examination
Entrance examination is based on CBSE syllabus of 11 and 12 .
Examination will be through 150 multiple choice questions in PCB or PCM combination
to be answered in 150 minutes.

Entrance examination is conducted in following cities: Calicut, Chennai, Guwahati,
Kolkata, Mumbai, Mysuru, Delhi, Secunderabad and Thrissur

ENTRANCE TEST 2020 (SET / SLAT / SITEEE / SEED)

Every year Symbiosis conducts four entrance tests [namely Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) / Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) / SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SIT EEE) / Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED)] for admission to its undergraduate programmes in Management, Law, Engineering, Mass Communication, Economics, Design, Liberal Arts, Computer Studies & Culinary Arts.

This year the four entrance tests will be held on 2 May 2020 (Saturday). The tests will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode simultaneously across 80 cities all over India.

Candidates aspiring to join an undergraduate degree programme offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) must appear for one (or more) of the four above-mentioned test(s). Refer the chart below to decide which entrance test(s) you need to take, depending on the programme(s) that you wish to pursue:

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2019 or 2020 are eligible to apply for admissions. Candidates will be admitted to IISER only through following three channels.

1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel
2. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology
3. State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)

These channels will be referred to as KVPY, JEE, and SCB, respectively.

Indian nationals and students belonging to PIO or OCI category are eligible to apply provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria described below.
