Wardha Medical Enterence Test 2014-15 : Mahtama Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences ,Sevagram

The Mahtama Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences ,Sevagram has invited Applications for admission to MBBS course for academic year 2014-15. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination conducted by MGIMS to be held on 20th April 2014 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad Mumbai, Varanasi & Kolkata. Those students who are going to appear in 10+2 Higher Secondary Board Examination in March / April 2014 are also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Examination.

In the entrance examination the paper of physics, chemistry and biology will have multiple choice questions, while that on gandhian thought will be of long and short answer type.

The Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 6 years, with model question papers of Physics Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean either by

  • Paying a sum of Rs 4000 (including exam fee) personally at the cash counter of Dean’s Office
  • By remitting a sum of Rs 4000 (including exam fee) at any branch of State Bank of India by Challan which can be downloaded from the link below. The detailed instructions in this regard are also available in the link below.

The Prospectus and Form will be available from 20th December, 2013 to 8th March, 2014. The last date of receipt of filled up application is 20th March, 2014.  

ELIGIBILITY

The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The Candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in first attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50 percent marks (40 percent in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

NCHMCT JEE-2014 for admission to B.Sc Hospitality & Hotel Administration for 2014-15 academic session

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY 

  Application are invited for The Bachelor of Science programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered jointly by the National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Three-Year programme equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The programme also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skills standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. The programme imparts substantial management inputs in area such as Sales and Marketing, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Hotel and Catering Law, Property Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Computers with special focus on Tourism Studies.

 Eligibility

A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination

Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2014 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30-09-2014.

 Age Limit as on 01 July 2014

For candidates from General and OBC categories, upper age limit is 22 years as on 01.07.2014. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1992 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2014. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after July 01, 1989 are eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be the authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counselling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for counselling/admission
