Admissions to 5 year BS-MS Dual Degree Programme 2016

 

IISERs

To promote high quality scientific education, research and training, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has set up seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati.

BS-MS Dual Degree Programme

It is a five year dual degree program for bright and motivated science students who have passed (10+2) level. The program integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions. The first two years of the program consist of core courses in basic sciences, the third and fourth years are dedicated to specialization in chosen science subjects and the fifth year includes a research project. The training during the program enables students to pursue a career in academia, R&D institutes and science based industries.

Admission to BS-MS Dual Degree Programme 2016

Admissions to all IISERs for the academic year 2016 has started on 25 May 2016 .

Scholarship

  • KVPY scholars admitted to IISERs would draw fellowship as per KVPY norms. In addition a limited number of INSPIRE scholarships will be available for candidates admitted through JEE Advanced and SCB channel as applicable as per the norms prescribed by DST INSPIRE scheme. This supersedes all earlier announcements regarding scholarship.

Eligibility

There are three channels of admission. Candidates will be admitted to IISER only through these channels.

  1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel
  2. Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT–JEE) channel
  3. State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel

These channels will be referred to as KVPY, IIT-JEE and SCB respectively

International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar owes its origins to theinitiative of the Government of Odisha. It is a result of the desire of the Government to

establish a world class institute of Information Technology in the state. The Institute has

been converted into a unitary university by the Government of Odisha on 20th Jan 2014.

Admission process:

 

Admission to regular B.Tech. programmes will be purely based on the merit listgenerated from JEE Main scores published by JEE 2016 i.e. total marks obtained inPaper 1 of JEE Main 2016.The admission process consists of the following stages: (a) online application, (b)document verification, (c) round-wise online provisional seat allotment, (d) seatacceptance and (e) reporting at the institute for final admission.

CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF PLASTICS ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY JEE – 2016

Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) was established in 1968 at Chennai, by Government of India with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) assistance. The main objective of setting up of the institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Headquartered in Chennai, CIPET has centres at Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Balasore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Hajipur, Haldia, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Raipur, Madurai, Murthal and Mysore. All the 16 state-of-the-art centers are equipped with excellent infrastructure facilities in the areas of Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics processing, Testing and Quality Assurance with plan fund support from Government of India. The infrastructure facilities in terms machineries, equipments and technology are continuously upgraded and modernized in tune with the global plastics industry.
