  2. BBA in Transportation Management

The National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), a vision of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is India’s first university focussed on transport-related education, multidisciplinary research and training. A Deemed to be University under the de Novo category, NRTI is specifically established to create a resource pool of best-in-class professionals for the railway and transportation sector.

NRTI will offer multi-disciplinary programmes designed to cater to the needs of India’s transportation sector. The Institute will follow a demand-driven curriculum, while aligning with industry priorities. To ensure best-in-class delivery of education, NRTI will follow a highly experiential and unique inter-disciplinary pedagogical approach, that incorporates the latest technologies such as live classrooms and online programs, and is delivered by high-quality faculty with global exposure.

NRTI is focused on developing global and national partnerships with top universities and organizations from across the world. Registration & Selection Process:

  1. Register online at www.nrti.in
  2. Registered students will be shortlisted (based on Class XII board results) to take an NRTI Admission Aptitude Test. Shortlisted students will be contacted and requested to apply online to select a test centre location, and upload relevant documents (Class XII Marksheets, photograph, etc.) and pay an application fee. The test will be administered in July 2018 at specified test centres located across the country. Test date and locations will be shared shortly.
  3. Final list of candidates will be selected based on NRTI Admission Aptitude Test result ranking.
ELIGIBILITY

BSc in Transportation Technology is open to Science Stream Students (with mandatory Class XII Mathematics)

BBA in Transportation Management is open students from all Streams (with mandatory Class XII Mathematics)

Applicants must have successfully completed their 10+2 Board examination with at least 55% marks (50% for OBC/SC/ST) and be below the age of 25 years as on August 1, 2018

GREEN OLYMPIAD 2018

ABOUT GREEN OLYMPIAD

GREEN Olympiad is an annual written examination on environment initiated by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in 1999. The exam is conducted by Environment Education & Awareness Area (EEA) of TERI and attracts participation from school students across India and abroad.

The examination is open only for schools affiliated to recognized education boards and educational trusts. Students enrolled in such schools from grades IV to X can appear in this examination.

 

Theme Environment and Sustainable Development

 

Date(s) of Examination (School can opt for ONLY one of these dates) 07 September 2018 AND 24 October 2018

 

Duration  1 Hour (10:00 am – 11:00 am)

 

Last date for Registration 31 July 2018

 

 Language  Bilingual – English and Hindi

 

Students from schools affiliated to a recognized education board/trust can participate in this examination.

This ‘Registration Form’ is applicable for all the 3 Levels (students from classes 4 to 10). However, Separate forms should be filled for Levels 1, 2 and 3. Schools can also register ‘Online’ through the project website – www.teriin.org/olympiad.

Individual registration forms will not be accepted from students. They can register through their school only.

Celebration of Reading Day – Reading Month from 19th June to 18th July, 2018

Reading is a good- habit and- it develops the values which are crucial for creation of an egalitarian and tolerant society. Lord Francis Bacon remarked “Reading maketh a full man; conference, a ready man; and writing, an exact man”. Hence it is imperative that we campaign to bring focus upon by celebrating it over a month all through the country.

The Government of  Kerala has been celebrating June 19th as the Day of Reading and the flowing week as the Reading Week (or the past 22 years in memory of the late P.N.Panicker,father of library movement of kerala -_ This initiative commenced  from 19 th June  -l996 in collaboration with P.N.Panicker Foundation. It has now become a mass movement which paved the way for the creation of Reading Mission 2022, the activities of which are to be implemented in most of the urban and rural libraries of the country by involving civil in. society organizations. During this intensive campaign, focused activities are planned to be undertaken by the masses and institutions like educational institutions, public libraries, panchayats and civil societies etc., to promote reading and related activities through storytelling, poetry recitation, . quiz programmes, puppetry, magic show, folk arts, drawing-and painting competition,_ seminars and workshops, outreach programmes like knowledge yatras, mass run etc.

Recognizing the importance of reading and its influence in human development, the Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the 22nd National Reading Day-Reading Month Celebrations at Kochi on 17th June 2017 and have requested P.N. Panicker Foundation to initiate a national level movement to promote reading habits with emphasis on digital reading.

Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE)Engineering :B.Tech Admission 2018

 

B. TECH. ADMISSION 2018 – 19

IIPE is focused on developing the skills of the students in order to help them compete in the dynamic industry of Petroleum and Energy.

The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) Engineering is the first Petroleum University to start its operations in the state of Andhra Pradesh. IIPE has its permanent campus in Vizag. It is a Government of India recognised university and is strongly backed by many oil majors viz. HPCL, IOCL, ONGC, GAIL, OIL and the Andhra Pradesh government.

The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy is offering two undergraduate courses viz. Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The first batch for the academic session 2016-17 has already commenced in the first week of August. The campus is fully loaded with laboratories, workshops, e-library and Wi-Fi access for all the students.

The Online Application Portal for admission into 4-year B.Tech. programme in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING  & PETROLEUM ENGINEERING  will be available from June 15, 2018 till July 16, 2018.
