The aim of the competition is to encourage writing on social issues, among the school and college students and arouse their interest in Dr.Ambedkar’s thoughts on fundamental social issues. This year’s topics include Ambedkar’s views on nation and nationalism and the personality of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, his social environment, his education or western thoughts. Those interested have to write an essay on any one topic in either Hindi or English.
Eligibility: Two categories: Class IX to XII school students and college students.

Prizes and rewards: Twelve winning essays will receive a cash prize of Rs.10,000 to 1 lakh and citations.

The much awaited annual event, the hunt for India’s smartest minds has begun. The 17th Edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz Competition is all set to challenge the wizards of your school.
This multi –city mega quiz ,one of the largest in the country is being conducted in many cities across India.
The event at Kozhikode is scheduled as below

A team should consist of two members and any bona-fide team from a school can take part by registering online and paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 (Rs100/-per member)per team. The team members should be from the same school/branch. No cross teams allowed.
- The school can send any number of teams in the senior category
- The quiz would be two-tiered: Common written preliminaries and an on-stage Final for the Top 6 teams, a maximum of 2 teams from a school is permitted. (based on the marks scored in the prelims).

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Kerala is organising the State-level National Talent Search Examination for the students of Class X on 08 November, 2015.
Eligibility: Only those pupils who are studying in Class X during this academic year (2015 – 16) in any Government/Aided/Recognised schools/Kendriya Vidyalaya/ Navodaya Vidyalaya in Kerala are eligible to apply for the State-level NTS Examination.
Pupils who have secured not less than 55% for all non-language subjects in the qualifying examination of class IX of 2014-15 will be admitted for the examination.
