Nursing course in the Army 2014

 

BSc (NURSING) / GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY (GNM) COURSE – 2014

1. Applications are invited from FEMALE CANDIDATES (only) for admission to

4 years B. Sc. (Nursing) course commencing in Aug 2014 at Colleges of Nursing and

3½ years Training of Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course commencing in

AFMS in Sep 2014 at Schools of Nursing of Armed Forces Hospitals. Based on the

merit, the candidates will be awarded admission in either Colleges of Nursing or

Schools of Nursing. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement / Bond to serve in

the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years. On successful completion of Nursing

Training (4/3½ years), the candidates will be granted commission in the Military Nursing

Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. They

shall have to refund the entire cost of training in the event of withdrawal from the

course, termination of training or refusal to accept commission in the MNS, if offered.

During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance

and monthly stipend.

2. Eligibility Conditions

(a) Female candidates who are unmarried/divorcee/legally separated or

widow without encumbrances.

(b) Nationality – Indian

(c) Date of Birth – Between 01 Aug 89 to 31 Jul 97 (both days inclusive).

(d) Educational Qualification – Should have passed the XII standard /

equivalent examination, in all the subjects opted for in FIRST ATTEMPT, from

a recognized Board/University with Science ( Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

and English (as elective subject and not optional) with minimum of 50%

aggregate marks (PCBE), as a regular student.

Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for final year of

qualifying examination during the current academic session may also

apply provisionally. The candidates finally selected for the course will have to

submit proof of passing the qualifying exam with requisite subjects & marks

before joining the course. Those who have passed such examinations as private

students or with compartment in any subject are NOT ELIGBLE.

(e) Physical standards – Medical fitness will be determined as per standards

applicable for commission in the Armed Forces. X-Ray examination of Chest

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme for Minorities- MOMA

Scheme Details 

Objective: The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students b elonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.

Eligibility criteria

Students, who have got admission in a recognized college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination.Must have 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level. The annual family income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh per annum from all sources.

Prize and Rewards:Rs:25,000 to 30,000 annually

Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme for Girls belonging to Minorities-2014

OBJECTIVE OF THE SCHEME

To recognize, promote and assist meritorious Girl students belonging to National Minorities who

can not continue their education without financial support.

 

PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship will be admissible for expenditure on payment of School/College Fee, purchase of

syllabus books, purchase of stationery/equipments required for the course & payment of Boarding/

Lodging charges.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION / WHO CAN APPLY

Only Girl Students belonging to National Minorities, (i.e. Muslims, Christians, Buddhists,

Sikhs, Parsis) can apply :

Should have secured not less than 55% marks (in aggregate) in the secondary school

certificate examination (Class xth) conducted by any recognized Centre/State Board of

Secondary Education. Family income of the student from all sources should be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) in the preceding financial year: Confirmed admission in class-XI. A student getting a scholarship from any other source would not be eligible for this Scholarship.

Application: By Post

The amount of Scholarship will be Rs. 12,000/- (Rupees twelve thousand only) which will be released in two installments of Rs. 6,000/- each. The first installment will be released after sanction of scholarshipand the second installment will be released when the student will submit proof of passing class XIth, and admonition to Class XIIth in the office of the Foundation.

The last date for receipt of application in the office of the Maulana Azad Education Foundation  is September 30th which must be adhered to. The application of the scholarship received  after 30th September, will not be entertained under any circumstances
