Eligibility and Selection Procedure

Bachelor of Statistics (Honours) [B Stat (Hons)]
Eligibility In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must
have successfully completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent)
with Mathematics and English as subjects.

Selection Procedure

All applicants for this programme, except the INMO AWARDEES
(see next paragraph), will have to appear for two written tests comprising multiple-choice
type and descriptive questions in Mathematics at the 10+2 level. Based on performance
in the written tests, a number of candidates will called for interviews.
The written test is waived for applicants who have been selected as INMO AWARDEES
to participate in the International Mathematics Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) in the
current year or in any previous year, based on their performance in the Indian National
Mathematics Olympiad (INMO) conducted by the National Board of Higher Mathematics,
Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Such candidates will be directly
called for interviews.

The final selection of candidates for admission to the programme is based on performance in the two written tests (unless waived) as well as the interviews. The final list ofcandidates selected for admission is announced after completion of all the interviews.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture :NATA 2019

What is NATA?

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture

Taking NATA-2019 Candidates may come from the following backgrounds:

  • Passed 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level examination; (those appearing the 10+2 exam with PCM subjects in the current year may also provisionally appear in the exam, however, their result in NATA-2019 will be declared valid subject to fulfilling the above criteria).

Educational Qualification: A Pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of (i) Forty Five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and (ii) Forty percent (40%) of marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April, 2019, are also eligible to apply.

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2019

NEST : National Entrance Screening Test Previous Question Papers

The National Entrance Screening Test or NEST is a compulsory online/computer based test for admission to the five year Integrated MSc programme in basic sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS), Mumbai

 

Educational qualification: Candidates seeking admission to NISER and UM–DAE CEBS for the integrated MSc programme 2019–24 should be from regular science stream only (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) in classes XI and XII. It is mandatory for all aspiring candidates to write the NEST 2019 examination. Admission will be offered strictly on the basis of Merit List of NEST 2019. Additionally, candidates must have passed class XII examination or equivalent from any recognised Board in India in the years 2017 or 2018 or be appearing for the same in 2019. Candidates who are appearing for the board examination in 2019 must pass it by the time of admission into the program. Also, candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in class XII examination to be eligible for admission to NISER and CEBS. For candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum requirement of marks is relaxed to 55% in aggregate.

 

Age limit: General and OBC category candidates born on or after August 01, 1999 are eligible for admission to the integrated MSc programme of NISER/CEBS. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST / PwD candidates.

The NEST 2019 examination will be conducted at multiple centres (major towns or cities) all over India on June 01, 2019 (Saturday),

 

How to apply: To apply for NEST 2019, candidates must fill–up the online application form through http://www.nestexam.in on or after January 07, 2019. Candidates are strongly advised to read through the detailed online application procedure available on the website (click on ‘How to Apply online’). Online application process closes on March 11, 2019. Application can be submitted only through NEST 2019 website. There is no other mode of application submission. Login credentials for logging into application submission and fee payment portals will be provided upon online registration. Application Fee: The application fee for the male candidates of General and OBC categories is ₹1,200/–. The application fee for candidates in the SC/ST/PwD categories and for all female candidates is ₹600/–. Payments can be made using credit card/debit card/net–banking through online payment gateway
